Top airfocus alternatives

airfocus is a planning tool for product leaders, with a customer portal attached. If the part you need is the portal, a place where customers post, vote, and hear back, these are the alternatives to airfocus worth a look.

  1. Public feedback board, roadmap, changelog, and live chat in one product, inside your app and on your own domain from Starter, with Juno, an AI operator who answers customers and drafts your changelog, and an MCP server for your own agents. Flat pricing, unlimited users, free to start.

Best for: SaaS teams that want customers voting and the whole team reading, with a price on the page instead of a quote.

  2. Feedback, prioritization, and roadmaps for product teams. The closest to airfocus in scope, and also priced per maker.

Best for: Product teams that want planning and feedback in one tool and will pay by the seat for it.

  3. The Aha! suite's idea portal, where customers post and vote on ideas that feed Aha! Roadmaps. $39 a seat, three seats minimum.

Best for: Teams already planning in Aha!.

  4. Roadmaps, ideas, and feedback, sold as separate modules, with a lean-roadmap approach instead of dated timelines.

Best for: Product teams that want outcome-based roadmaps and are willing to buy the pieces separately.

  5. Atlassian's tool for collecting and prioritizing ideas inside Jira, for teams already there.

Best for: Teams on Jira who want prioritization next to their issues and don't need a public portal.

  6. Feedback board with voting, a roadmap, a changelog, and Jira and Salesforce. Priced by tracked users.

Best for: Teams that need Jira or Salesforce on the board on day one.

  7. Open source and self-hostable, with posting and voting but no roadmap or changelog. You run the server and the backups.

Best for: Teams whose feedback data has to stay on their own servers.

Where airfocus falls short.

airfocus has prioritization scoring, OKRs, capacity planning, and two-way Jira sync, and Lucid bought it in 2025. It also has a price you can't see and a product you can't try, a customer portal that is a window onto a planning tool, no way to talk to the customer behind the vote, and a 30-day notice period and an export that leaves comments behind.

No price, no trial

Both plans by quote; last listed at $59 an editor a month

airfocus has two plans, Professional and Enterprise, and both end in a quote. Its own billing page says there is no free trial, and there is no free plan. The last price it published was $59 an editor a month billed yearly, or $74 month to month, for its Core plan, with a 14-day trial. That offer was still on the pricing page in June 2025 and gone by August. Admins take up a paid editor seat. Viewers and contributors are free, so the bill tracks how many people on your team can edit a roadmap. A Capterra reviewer wrote in October 2022 that “Editor accounts are expensive.”

What UserJot does instead.

UserJot is the customer-facing part, built as the whole product: a public board on your own domain, a roadmap with votes, a changelog, and a widget that puts all three inside your app. It adds live chat and support email in one inbox, Juno, an AI operator who answers customers first and drafts your changelog, and an MCP server for your own agents. It doesn't do OKRs, capacity planning, or Gantt charts.

Every plan has unlimited users, including Free, and nobody on your team needs a seat. Paid plans start at $29 a month with a 14-day trial you start yourself, and you're live in minutes.

Your customers get the whole loop.

Anyone can post a request and vote on the board. When you mark a request Planned or In Progress, it moves to that column on the public roadmap, votes attached. Every status change emails everyone who posted, voted, or commented. When you mark one Completed, the changelog post you write links back to it.

On Starter and up, any board can be made private: a customer sees only their own requests, and your team sees all of them.

UserJot public roadmap with vote counts on each request.

    Export reports to CSV

Finance needs the monthly numbers in a spreadsheet. A one-click export from any report would save us an afternoon every month.

    SRSofia Reyes
  3. Integrations

    Zapier integration

We’d love to send new tasks to the rest of our tools without writing a script. A trigger for new tasks would cover most of it.

  4. Features

    Custom fields on tasks

We track budget and client on every task. A couple of custom fields would replace the spreadsheet we keep next to Acme.

  5. Features

    Two-factor sign-in

Our security review asks for it every year. An authenticator app option would be enough for us.

We set up the same onboarding checklist for every new client. Saving it once as a template would save us an hour each time.

Seeing tasks on a timeline would make it much easier to plan around deadlines and spot overlaps.

Chat, email, and feedback in one inbox.

Conversations adds a Messages page to the widget that already shows your board, roadmap, and changelog inside your app. Customers chat with you from there, and your team answers from the dashboard where it already triages requests. Forward your support address and email lands in the same inbox, with no DNS changes.

When a customer describes a feature in chat, Juno finds the matching request on your board and shows it to them. Once they confirm, she files it or adds their vote. Conversations is in beta and free on every plan while it is.

The UserJot inbox: a customer asks about a mobile app, and Juno finds the request on the board, adds the customer's vote, and resolves the conversation.

AI that answers your customers.

Juno is the AI operator built into UserJot. She answers new conversations first, in the customer's language, from your docs and the sites you point her at. When a person is needed, she hands the conversation to your team in the same thread.

In the changelog editor, Juno reads the requests you completed since the last post and writes the draft, with the title, tags, and linked requests filled in. She never publishes. The board itself checks for duplicates as people type.

The UserJot widget open on the right side of a customer's web app.

Sorry about that! Refunds need a teammate, so I'm bringing one in now.

Hi, Sara here. Just refunded the duplicate charge, you'll see it back in a few business days.

An MCP server your agents can use today.

Your agent can read requests, file and vote on them, move them along the roadmap, draft changelog posts, and answer conversations. Ask your coding agent what customers have asked for in the area you're working on, or have it mark the request shipped and draft the changelog entry when the work merges.

It comes with the API on Starter and Professional, and you can connect it the day you sign up.

Switching from airfocus to UserJot.

Export a CSV from each workspace view, import it, and check the mapping. The notice period is the slow part, so start there.

If your data doesn't fit the CSV path, email support@userjot.com and we'll migrate it with you.

  1. Give notice.

Lucid's terms set the notice period for multi-user plans, and prepaid time isn't refunded, so email support@airfocus.com first and migrate during the remainder.
  2. Export from airfocus.

Open the view that holds your feedback items and export it as CSV; parent and child workspaces export separately. Comments don't come across, so copy the ones you want to keep.
  3. Import into UserJot.

Upload the CSV. AI maps titles, descriptions, votes, authors, statuses, and dates to UserJot's fields; check the mapping, confirm, done.

  4. Put the board where customers already are.

Add the widget to your app, and on Starter or above, put the board on your own domain, like feedback.yourcompany.com.

airfocus alternative FAQ

airfocus doesn't publish prices. Both plans, Professional and Enterprise, are quoted by sales and billed per editor; admins count as editors, and viewers and contributors are free. The last published price was $59 an editor a month billed yearly, or $74 month to month, for the Core plan, with Scale and Enterprise by quote from five editors; that page was replaced by the two quote-only plans between June and August 2025. Before that, in early 2024, the entry plan was Advanced, displayed at $69 an editor a month.
