What UserJot is opinionated about

Four things that shape every decision.

Productboard is a thoughtful enterprise platform built for a specific kind of team. UserJot is a different answer to a different question. These are the four commitments that make it feel unmistakably lighter to run.

See how Productboard pricing actually adds up
  • Priced for teams, not for seats

Unlimited admins on every plan, including free. Your engineer, your designer, your CS lead, all in the same workspace. No invoice line for participation.

  • Shipped in minutes, not in weeks

Thirty seconds from signup to a live board. No implementation project. No training webinar. The product that shows up on day one is the product you run.

  • One loop, not three tools

Feedback, roadmap, and changelog share state. Shipping a feature moves the right pieces on its own. No separate widget, no separate announcement tool, no reassembly across surfaces.

  • AI in the product, not in the invoice

Duplicate detection, auto-categorization, and changelog drafting are included from the free plan. AI is a capability, not a line item.

Our strategy is to stay close to our users and obsess over quality. UserJot makes that easy: one place to listen, build what users want, and keep the feedback loop short.

Cofounder, Tally

Customer feedback platform

The customer feedback platform where users vote on what ships next.

UserJot brings every customer request into one place, ranks it by the users who want it most, and turns the loop from submission to shipped feature into something your users can watch happen. Feedback, roadmap, and changelog, in one tool.

  • Ranked feedback board

Every request lands in one ranked board instead of getting buried across email, Slack, and support threads.

  • AI duplicate detection

AI surfaces similar requests as users type so votes land on one canonical post instead of splitting across duplicates.

  • In-app widget

Embed feedback collection directly inside your product so users can submit ideas without leaving the page.

  • Status-change emails

When a request moves to Review, Planned, or In Progress, every voter gets the update automatically.

  • Weekly digest

Top new requests worth voting on arrive in a weekly email that pulls users back into the board.

  • Closed-loop updates

The moment a feature ships, voters hear about it through the changelog and the feedback loop closes itself.

Simplicity

The opposite of overwhelming.

Most product-management tools trade usability for completeness. UserJot does the opposite. A focused surface, a short learning curve, and a product that shows up on day one looking like it was designed on purpose.

  • Designed end to end

Dashboard, portal, widget, emails, mobile. Every surface drawn by the same hand, with the same standards. Consistent type, consistent color, consistent rhythm.

  • Fast by design

Every click is instant. The tool stays out of your way, which is the hardest thing a product tool can do well.

  • No configuration required

Sensible defaults from minute one. Adjust what you need, leave the rest. No taxonomy to build, no drivers to set up, no training week.

  • Thirty seconds to live

Pick a workspace name. Share the link. The first piece of feedback arrives before you finish reading the docs.

How we think about pricing

A product tool should not charge you for collaboration.

The per-seat model quietly shapes who participates in product decisions, and who does not. That shape is the thing we wanted to change.

A product tool's job is to make prioritization better . Pricing by seat makes it cheaper to exclude people from that decision, which is the opposite of what you want. Your lead engineer who knows the feasibility, your CS lead who hears the churn signal, your designer who sees the pattern across requests. Each one costs another seat.

UserJot does not charge for participation . Admins are unlimited on every plan, including free. The whole team sits in the same workspace, with the same access, without a line on the invoice. A team of three with twenty collaborators pays the same as a team of three with three.

What changes when participation is free is hard to observe directly . Meetings have fewer silent readers. Decisions get made by the people who will ship them. The bill stays the same. The quality of the roadmap does not.

By the numbers

Three numbers worth knowing.

What UserJot costs, how fast a workspace stands up, and how the math compares when your team grows past two people.

  • $0

    Free forever, unlimited users

Two boards, public roadmap, public changelog, every admin you want. Productboard has no free plan, only a 14-day trial.

  • 30 sec

    Signup to a live board

Pick a workspace name. Share the link. Productboard implementations are typically measured in weeks, not seconds.

  • 10×

The cost gap at ten teammates

Productboard Pro for ten makers is $7,080 per year. UserJot Professional is $708 per year. Unlimited users on both sides of that math.

Side by side

UserJot vs Productboard, feature by feature.

A feature-by-feature read of where the two products diverge. Price is the loudest difference, but scope, setup, and the shape of the team you need to run them end up mattering just as much.

Closing the loop

Two things Productboard leaves out, built in.

A widget to collect feedback inside your product, and a changelog to tell users when their requests ship. Most product tools cover one or neither. UserJot puts both on the same loop.

An in-product widget and a changelog, on the same loop.

Productboard has neither; teams that want them usually add two more tools. UserJot bakes both into the same system, so feedback comes in from inside your app and announcements go out to the people who voted.

Embed feedback in your product

One line of JavaScript drops the widget into any app. Users submit without leaving what they are doing. Productboard users click out to a portal.

AI drafts the changelog from the feedback itself

Move a post to Completed and UserJot writes the announcement from the original request and the conversation around it. Voters and commenters hear first on publish.

Product changelog software

Changelog software with AI that writes, schedules, and notifies for you.

AI changelog software that writes updates from your shipped features, schedules posts, and auto-notifies users who requested them. The in-app widget helps users discover every release the moment you publish.

  • AI writes complete changelogs

Tell the AI to write a changelog from closed feedback and it drafts the post, title, and tags in your voice.

  • Automatic user notifications

When you publish, users who voted on those features get an email automatically. No manual list management.

  • In-app widget

Users can read the latest changelog without leaving your product.

  • Update indicator

A small badge appears the moment a new changelog lands, so users never miss what shipped.

  • Link to feedback

Every update links back to the original feature requests and the customers who asked for them.

  • Schedule posts

Ask the AI to schedule for Monday at 2pm, or let it pick the right time for your audience.

“Our strategy is to stay close to our users and obsess over quality. UserJot makes that easy: one place to listen, build what users want, and keep the feedback loop short.”

Filip MinevCofounder, Tally

“UserJot has noticeably improved our product process. Instead of piecing together feedback from support, email, and social, we have one hub to collect feedback, gauge interest, and keep users updated on improvements. It's helped us move faster and focus on things customers actually want.”

Corey RabazinskiVP of Marketing, Scite

“We set up UserJot and our users actually started leaving feedback. Clean, simple, and we finally know what to build next.”

Carl LindesvärdFounder, OpenPanel

“Ever since we added UserJot, the most common thing users mention in reviews is that we actually listen. It's helped us build a loyal community of users who feel like they're shaping the app with us.”

Igor AmidzicFounder, Kualia

“We'd been looking for a feedback board for some time. Every app we found was either bloated or expensive. Userjot hits the sweet spot! The UI is next-level, and the pace of improvement has been amazing!”

Migration

Moving from Productboard.

Productboard migrations are less common than Canny migrations because the data models differ. They are still very doable, and most teams take the move as a chance to simplify on the way out.

  1. Export your Productboard data

In Productboard, go to Features and export to CSV. Pull the fields that matter: titles, descriptions, statuses, customer segments. Teams often skip driver scores and prioritization frameworks, because UserJot does not use them.

  2. Upload to UserJot

Drop the CSV into the importer. AI proposes a mapping from Productboard columns to UserJot Boards, Posts, and Statuses. You review it, adjust anything unusual, and confirm. Most imports finish in under ten minutes.

  3. Redirect your feedback intake

Point your widget, portal, and team links at the new workspace. If you used Productboard only internally, you can launch a public board at the same time. Most teams use the migration as a chance to make the roadmap customer-facing for the first time.

Productboard setups vary widely. If your workspace has custom drivers, heavy Jira sync, or an unusual taxonomy, reach out before you export. We will run the migration with you and make sure nothing is lost in the move.

Questions

The ones that come up before teams switch.

Pricing math at real team sizes, the collaboration tax, migration, what Productboard does better, and where the two products actually differ. Answered plainly.

  • Scope and pricing. Productboard is an enterprise product management platform built around teamspaces, drivers, customer segments, and strategy frameworks. UserJot is a feedback, roadmap, and changelog loop designed to run on its own, without an implementation project. On pricing, Productboard charges per maker, per month. UserJot is flat, with unlimited admins on every plan. Both products are reasonable. They just optimize for different kinds of teams.

  • Productboard Essentials starts at $19 per maker per month, billed yearly, and covers basic roadmapping and feedback centralization with a 250-note limit. Pro is $59 per maker per month, billed yearly ($75 billed monthly), and is the tier most teams need for unlimited feedback and customer segments. Enterprise is custom pricing and the only tier that includes SSO. A typical team of five makers on Pro is $295 per month, or $3,540 per year. Ten makers is $7,080 per year. AI is a further $20 per maker per month.

  • UserJot Starter is $29 per month. Professional is $59 per month. Unlimited admins on both, including engineers, designers, CS leads, and anyone else who participates in the product process. At ten teammates, UserJot Professional is $708 per year. The same ten makers on Productboard Pro is $7,080 per year. The gap widens with every person you want to give a voice.

  • A shorthand for what happens when prioritization is billed per person. Productboard offers free Viewer seats, but Viewers cannot prioritize, move cards, or change status. Any teammate who actually participates in the product process needs a paid Maker seat. In practice, that means the people closest to the work often get read-only access so the bill stays manageable. UserJot sidesteps this by not charging for participation. Admins are unlimited on every plan.

  • Productboard AI is a separate line item at $20 per maker per month. For ten makers, that is $2,400 per year on top of the base plan. UserJot includes AI on every plan, including free. Duplicate detection runs as users type, so similar ideas get consolidated before they fragment the board. Triage categorization happens automatically. Changelog drafts are written from the original feedback and the discussion around it. AI is a capability in UserJot, not a line item.

  • For UserJot, thirty seconds to a live board. Pick a workspace name, share the link, and the first piece of feedback can arrive before you finish reading this page. Productboard implementations typically take four to eight weeks, with configuration of teamspaces, drivers, prioritization frameworks, and integrations before the team can use the tool day to day. The tools optimize for different starting points.

  • Neither. Productboard collects feedback through its portal and integrations, but there is no embeddable in-product widget. It also does not include a changelog. Teams that want to close the loop with customers typically add a second tool for announcements. UserJot includes both as part of the same system, so a shipped feature automatically notifies voters and commenters.

  • Yes. SAML SSO is included on the Professional plan at $59 per month. Automatic Login, a JWT-based SSO-lite flow, is available on Starter and Professional for in-app identification. Productboard places SSO behind the Enterprise plan, which is custom-priced and typically sits well into the tens of thousands per year. If SSO is a requirement, the effective starting price on Productboard is substantially higher than the published per-maker numbers suggest.

  • Productboard enterprise contracts commonly include a 5 percent automatic uplift at renewal. Contract termination requires 60 to 90 days of notice ahead of the renewal date. UserJot pricing is publicly listed, month to month, with no auto-increase. The number you pay in month one is the number you pay in month thirty.

  • Yes. Slack, Linear, Discord, webhooks, a REST API, and an MCP server for AI agents. The MCP server is uncommon in the category. Claude, Cursor, or any other agent can triage feedback, update the roadmap, and draft changelogs on your behalf. One integration is included on Starter. Professional includes all of them.

  • If you are running a large product organization with multiple parallel roadmaps, dozens of product managers, and a product operations team that builds prioritization frameworks, Productboard has real depth that a focused tool does not match. Microsoft, Zendesk, and UiPath did not land there by accident. UserJot is built for the other shape of team: one product, one loop, one level deep. Pick the tool that matches the shape of the org.

  • Yes. Productboard supports CSV export, and UserJot accepts CSV imports with AI-assisted column mapping. Most migrations complete in under an hour. For workspaces with custom drivers, heavy Jira sync, or unusual taxonomies, reach out before you export and we will run the migration with you. Teams often use the move as a chance to consolidate, since UserJot does not use drivers or scoring frameworks.
