Overview

Importing data into UserJot is straightforward, and in most cases we recommend doing it early instead of starting from a blank workspace. It gives your team historical context right away and makes it easier to keep momentum when moving from another tool.

UserJot supports multiple import paths, including CSV, Canny, Nolt, and ProductRoad. Each one has its own setup flow, so the best next step is to open the guide for the source you are migrating from.

If you are not sure where to start, CSV is the most flexible option. If you are coming from a supported feedback tool, using the direct import flow is usually faster and easier.

Imported votes and Trending

UserJot preserves the vote totals provided by your import. Some sources also include individual votes and their dates, while others only provide a total.

Imported requests can appear in a different order in Top and Trending. Top uses the displayed vote totals, while Trending reflects recent customer interest. Importing an older request does not make its existing votes new.

If an imported request has a high vote count but appears lower in Trending, that does not mean its votes were lost. See how Trending works for more on the different ways to sort feedback.
