Import from CSV

Importing from CSV is the most flexible option when your feedback already lives in a spreadsheet or can be exported into a flat file. UserJot guides you through the import step by step so you can match your columns to the right fields before anything is imported.

Import from CSV

  1. Open Settings in your workspace, then go to Data & Import.

  2. In the Import section, click Import from CSV.

  3. Upload your CSV file. Files with up to 10,000 rows work best in the current importer.

  4. Map your CSV columns in each step of the flow. UserJot walks you through submission fields, author fields, submission details, status mapping, and board mapping.

  5. Review the import summary, then select Import Submissions to start the import.

What to expect during mapping

CSV imports are the most configurable import path. That is why the importer asks you to confirm how your file should map into UserJot instead of assuming everything automatically.

You can map titles, body content, votes, authors, board names, statuses, and timestamps. If your file includes multiple boards or custom statuses, this step is where you decide how they should appear in UserJot.

Before you upload the file

It helps to make sure your CSV is clean before you start. Clear column names and consistent values make the mapping steps much easier to review.

If your file includes status or board values that do not match UserJot exactly, that is fine. The importer gives you a chance to map them before the import runs.
