How Trending works

Your feedback board gives you a few ways to browse requests. Each sort helps you answer a different question, whether you want to see recent interest, the most votes, or the latest posts.

Choose a sort

Use the sort menu on your public board to switch between:

  • Top shows requests with the highest displayed vote totals first.
  • Trending highlights requests getting recent customer interest.
  • Newest shows the most recently created requests first.

Choose Top when you want to compare vote totals. Choose Trending when you want to see what customers are showing interest in now. Newest is useful when you want to catch up on recently submitted feedback.

Why a request with fewer votes can appear higher

A request getting attention now can appear above one that collected more votes some time ago. Trending takes recent interest into account, so its order can look different from Top.

The vote count shown on each request stays the same whichever sort you choose. A lower position in Trending does not mean votes were removed. You can switch back to Top at any time to compare the displayed totals.

How the order changes

Trending updates as people submit requests and vote. An older request can move up when customers show renewed interest in it.

Being high in Trending does not mean a request is planned or being worked on. Check its status or the public roadmap to see what the team has decided to build.

Imported and merged requests

Existing feedback keeps its history when you bring it into UserJot or merge duplicates. Those actions do not turn earlier votes into new activity.

See importing feedback and merging duplicates for what happens to the requests and their votes.
