Tidio Pricing in 2026: You Pay per Conversation, Not per Seat

Tidio, the live chat and help desk with Lyro as its AI agent, costs $29 to $349 a month depending on how many conversations your team handles, with ten agent seats included on every self-service plan. There is a free plan for 50 conversations a month. Lyro, its AI agent, is sold separately, from $39 a month for 50 conversations to $700 for 1,000, and bills every conversation it answers in, resolved or not. A two-person team handling 500 conversations a month pays $129 on Growth, or $199 with Lyro taking 30% of them.

Most help desks charge per agent. Tidio charges per conversation, so a bill that looks small at signup grows with your customers instead of your team.

The plans

Tidio sells three things on separate ladders: human conversations, Lyro AI conversations, and Flows, its visual chatbot builder, metered by visitors reached. Every self-service plan includes ten seats. Annual billing takes two months off; both are in the table.

A conversation is a thread a human agent replies to. Live chat threads and email tickets count the same, and spam you never answer does not count. The Growth ladder runs 250, 400, 600, 800, 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 conversations at $59, $89, $129, $159, $179, $249 and $349. Past 2,000 you are on Plus, where the $300 is a platform fee and the conversations are quoted.

The 50 Lyro conversations on Free are for the life of the account, not per month. The seats are a fixed ten on every self-service plan, so a two-person shop and a ten-person team pay the same for the same volume.

The trial is seven days of paid features with no card, and Free stays available when it ends.

What else lands on the bill

Lyro, by the conversation. Lyro answers from your help pages, uploaded files and a Q&A list, on chat, email, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp. It is bought as its own ladder: 50 conversations for $39 a month, 100 for $75, 150 for $110, 200 for $140, 300 for $210, 500 for $350, 750 for $525 and 1,000 for $700, or $32.50 to $583.33 on annual billing. A conversation is billed when Lyro first answers in a thread. Several answers in one thread are one unit, but a thread that goes quiet for 15 minutes starts a new one when the customer comes back. A thread Lyro answers and then hands to a person is billed, and if the person replies it can count against the human quota too. A thread handed off before Lyro says anything is not billed. Tidio advertises Lyro at $0.50 a conversation on its Intercom comparison page; the self-service ladder works out to $0.70 to $0.78.

Flows, by the visitor. The chatbot builder meters unique visitors reached: 100 a month free, then $29 for 2,000 up to $299 for 100,000.

No Tidio branding. A $16.67 a month add-on on Growth with annual billing. The monthly price is not published. Plus and Premium include it.

WhatsApp. Since October 2026, 1,000 outgoing messages per phone number a month are free, then Meta's per-country rates at month end with no Tidio markup. The spending cap defaults to $0; free and trial accounts stop at the 1,000.

Help Center. Launched in September 2026 and free to every account through 15 October. What it costs after that is not published.

Email campaigns. Restricted to Plus and to accounts that already had Campaigns before June 2024.

Tidio publishes no charge for seats or contacts. The bill moves on three meters, human conversations, Lyro conversations and Flows visitors, plus WhatsApp messages past the free 1,000.

Three bills

Monthly billing, one project, no Flows beyond the free 100 visitors, no branding add-on, automatic upgrades switched off. "With Lyro" means it handles 30% of conversations outright and the other 70% go to the team, each bought at the smallest package that fits.

10 agents, 5,000 conversationsNot publishedNot published

On annual billing the first two rows are $107.50 and $290.83 humans-only, $165.83 and $645 with Lyro.

The ten-agent row says not published because 5,000 conversations is past the top of the self-service ladder. That team is on Plus at $300 plus whatever Tidio quotes for the usage, and the quote is not public.

The seat count never appears in the arithmetic. Two agents handling 500 conversations pay more on Tidio than on Crisp at $45 or Help Scout at $60, because those two charge for the workspace or the seat and Tidio charges for the volume. The order reverses for a big team with few conversations: ten agents handling 250 a month pay $59 on Tidio and $300 on Help Scout.

Lyro is more than half the bill once it is on. At 2,000 conversations the human plan is $249 and the AI pack is $525, and the AI pack is bought at 750 because the ladder has no 600.

Live chat, email and an AI agent, one flat price.

UserJot's support inbox and Juno come with every plan. No conversation meter, no AI packs.

Discounts

Annual billing is two months free, 16.7% off, which is the gap between the two billing columns above. No startup, nonprofit or education program is documented.

Fine print that bites

  • Automatic upgrades are on by default for new monthly paid subscriptions. At 80% of a quota you get a warning, at 95% the next package is bought. You can turn it off, and it does not apply to annual plans, Free or Plus.
  • With upgrades off, hitting the human quota hides the details of new incoming conversations and blocks replies until the month resets or you raise the limit.
  • Paid Lyro quota resets monthly on the purchase anniversary. The 50 free Lyro conversations never reset.
  • No refunds for partial terms, unused time, upgrades or downgrades. Discretionary refunds are capped at three months.
  • The API is a Plus feature, apart from the product endpoints, which open with any paid Lyro pack. One Reddit thread from March 2026, unverified, has a customer removing Tidio over what API access would cost.
  • Cancelling is self-service in Settings for standard plans. Plus and Premium changes may need your account manager or support. What happens to tickets, contacts and Help Center articles after cancellation is not published.

What changed since 2024

The conversation-based plans have been stable. The October 2024 capture of the pricing page already shows Starter at $29 and Growth from $59 to $349 with ten seats, and every later capture, December 2024, July 2025, January 2026 and the live page in October 2026, shows the same numbers. Two things did. The Lyro ladder stopped at 300 conversations for $210 in the December 2024 capture and reached 1,000 for $700 by July 2025. And Plus was listed at $749 a month as late as January 2026; by October 2026 it was $300 plus usage.

Before the conversation model, Tidio sold Communicator from $25 per agent a month with unlimited conversations. Existing subscribers can keep it; new customers cannot buy it. Email campaigns were restricted to Plus in June 2024, the automatic-upgrade rules were updated in September 2025, and WhatsApp got its own meter in October 2026.

Is Tidio worth it?

For a shop or a small business with a few dozen conversations a month across chat, email and social, yes. Reviewers on G2 and Capterra rate it 4.6 and 4.7, and what they like is the setup, the visual automation builder and having one inbox for every channel. The complaint that touches price is the quotas: upgrade pressure, the AI being a separate bill, and in one July 2026 G2 review, costs that are "unpredictable". One Capterra reviewer in December 2024 reported a bill doubling, which is one account, not a price change.

For a SaaS team, the conversation meter is the thing to think about. Support volume follows your customer count, so the bill grows with the product and jumps a package at a time, and the automatic upgrade will buy the next one for you unless you switch it off on day one. Lyro is billed on answers rather than resolutions, so a bot that tries and fails still costs the same as one that succeeds.

Questions people ask

How much does Tidio cost?

$29 a month for 100 conversations, $59 to $349 for 250 to 2,000, and $300 plus usage above that. Every self-service plan includes ten seats. Lyro, the AI agent, is a separate $39 to $700 a month by conversations. A five-person team handling 2,000 conversations pays $349 a month, or $774 with Lyro handling 30% of them.

Is Tidio free?

Yes, for 50 conversations a month and ten seats, with chat, tickets, email, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp in one inbox. Free also includes 50 Lyro conversations once, for the life of the account, and 100 Flows visitors a month. When you reach 50 conversations, the details of new ones are hidden and replies are blocked until the next month or an upgrade.

What counts as a conversation?

A thread a human agent replies to, whether it started as a chat or an email. Unanswered spam does not count. A Lyro conversation is separate: it counts when Lyro first answers in a thread, and a thread that goes quiet for 15 minutes counts again when it resumes.

Do I pay per agent?

No. Every self-service plan includes ten seats, and the price moves with conversations. More than ten seats means Plus or Premium, through sales.

Is Lyro free?

Fifty conversations, once. After those are used, Lyro is $39 a month for 50 conversations and up, on its own ladder next to your support plan.

Will Tidio upgrade me automatically?

Yes, on a monthly paid plan, unless you turn it off. The default buys the next package at 95% of your quota. Annual plans, Free and Plus are not upgraded automatically.

Is there an annual discount?

Yes. Annual billing is two months free, so Starter is $24.17 a month and Growth runs $49.17 to $290.83.

Can I get a refund?

Generally no. Partial terms, unused time and plan changes are not refunded. Tidio's terms allow discretionary refunds capped at three months, and a proportional refund if it breaches the terms and does not fix it within 30 days.
