Custom Domain

Using a custom domain gives your public UserJot pages a branded home. Instead of sending users to a userjot.com address, you can serve your workspace from your own domain, such as feedback.example.com.

Custom domains are available on the Starter and Professional plans. On the Free plan, Add domain opens an upgrade prompt instead of the domain form.

Add a custom domain

  1. Open Settings in your workspace, then go to Domain.

  2. Select Add domain.

  3. Enter your root domain, such as example.com, then select Save.

  4. After the domain is added, UserJot shows the DNS records you need to create. Add each record exactly as shown in your DNS provider.

  5. Wait for the DNS records to propagate. UserJot checks those records from the Domain page and updates their status once they are active.

  6. When the setup is complete, open your new domain with Visit to confirm it loads correctly.

What domain to enter

Enter only the root domain that you own, such as example.com. UserJot uses that to create your branded feedback address on the feedback subdomain, such as feedback.example.com.

If you are not sure what to type, use the part of the domain you manage in your DNS provider, not the full https:// URL and not the feedback. prefix.

Updating your DNS records

The DNS records table shows the exact records UserJot expects. For each record, copy the Name and Value into your DNS provider exactly as shown.

Many DNS providers automatically append your root domain for you, so the name field may look shorter in UserJot than it does in your provider's interface. If your provider supports it, UserJot may also show a direct link to your DNS settings to make the update faster.

How to know it is working

The Domain page keeps showing the DNS record statuses until everything is ready. If the records are still pending, the most common cause is that the DNS change has not propagated yet or one of the values does not match exactly.

Once the records are active, your public workspace should load on the new domain. At that point, you can start sharing the branded link instead of the default UserJot URL.
