Olvy alternative

The modern Olvy alternative. Public boards. Unlimited admins.

Olvy was beautiful. It was also internal only and priced per seat. UserJot carries forward the design, opens the boards to your users, and keeps pricing flat.

What UserJot is opinionated about

Four things that shape every decision.

Feedback work is craft. The tool should feel like one. These are the four commitments that shape every decision, and together they make UserJot feel unmistakably lighter to run.

See how we think about pricing
  • Focused, not bloated

Feedback, roadmap, and changelog. Nothing else. That restraint is what lets every surface feel considered and every flow feel fast.

  • Designed end to end

Portal, widget, dashboard, emails, mobile. Every touchpoint drawn by the same hand, with the same standards. The product looks current for your team and for the people it reaches.

  • Open to your users

A feedback tool only works when the people giving feedback can reach it. Public boards, shared links, guest posting. The loop closes on the user side, not only yours.

  • Built to stay

Indie, profitable, paced like a founder wants. The simplest promise we can make is that we will still be here next year.

We set up UserJot and our users actually started leaving feedback. Clean, simple, and we finally know what to build next.

Public boards

Where Olvy stopped, UserJot keeps going.

Olvy was an internal tool for teams. The part where your users could reach the board, vote, and see the roadmap was never built. UserJot treats the public side as the core, and builds the internal workflow on top of it.

  • A board your users can reach

Linked from your nav, embedded in docs, or hosted at feedback.yourcompany.com. The loop starts where your users already live.

  • Votes, comments, guest posting

Users vote on what matters, comment with context, and submit without an account if you want them to. The workflow opens up to the people you are building for.

  • A public roadmap that writes itself

Move a Post to Planned and it appears on the roadmap. Users see what is coming and what is in flight. Nothing is reconciled by hand.

  • Changelogs that notify voters

When you ship, everyone who voted or commented gets an email. The announcement is drafted from the original request and the discussion around it.

Customer feedback platform

The customer feedback platform where users vote on what ships next.

UserJot brings every customer request into one place, ranks it by the users who want it most, and turns the loop from submission to shipped feature into something your users can watch happen. Feedback, roadmap, and changelog, in one tool.

  • Ranked feedback board

Every request lands in one ranked board instead of getting buried across email, Slack, and support threads.

  • AI duplicate detection

AI surfaces similar requests as users type so votes land on one canonical post instead of splitting across duplicates.

  • In-app widget

Embed feedback collection directly inside your product so users can submit ideas without leaving the page.

  • Status-change emails

When a request moves to Review, Planned, or In Progress, every voter gets the update automatically.

  • Weekly digest

Top new requests worth voting on arrive in a weekly email that pulls users back into the board.

  • Closed-loop updates

The moment a feature ships, voters hear about it through the changelog and the feedback loop closes itself.

Built to stay

On being here next year.

Olvy shipped genuinely good design, and the team behind it was capable. What they could not build was a business that fit the product. It happens. It is also the most common way good tools vanish in this category, and the reason a lot of teams reading this page are reading it.

UserJot is built the other way around. Indie, profitable, small, and priced to stay that way. No board to please, no exit to engineer toward, no category-expansion pressure that bloats the thing you are paying for. The simplest commitment we can make is that we will still be here next year.

How we think about pricing

We charge for the product, not for the seat your teammate takes up.

It sounds like a small distinction. In practice, it shapes how the whole system feels to operate.

A feedback tool only works when the people making decisions can see the same picture. PMs, designers, engineers, customer success, founders . Every one of them adds something the data alone cannot. We never want the invoice to ask whether you really need that many of them in the room.

So UserJot's admin roles are unlimited on Professional, included up to three on Starter, and free on the free plan for small teams . You scale on the shape of the product you pick (custom domains, integrations, SSO, boards), not on the size of the team you built to work on it.

Olvy charged $240 per month for thirty admin seats, and $25 per seat after that. UserJot's Professional tier is unlimited admins for $59 per month . The math gets obvious once you stop counting seats.

By the numbers

Three numbers worth knowing.

What UserJot costs on day one, how many admins you get on the top tier, and how long it takes to go from signup to a live board.

  • $0

    Free forever, unlimited users

Two boards, public roadmap, public changelog, every user you want. Olvy's free plan capped at two team members and a single workspace.

  • $59

    Unlimited admins on Professional

Thirty admins, a hundred, your whole cross-functional team. Every seat you would have paid for on Olvy is included.

  • 30 sec

    Signup to a live board

Pick a workspace name. Share the link. No configuration sits between you and the first piece of feedback.

Side by side

UserJot vs Olvy, feature by feature.

A feature-by-feature read of what UserJot carries forward from Olvy, what it adds, and where it is priced differently. Public boards and flat pricing are the loudest differences. Design and AI are closer than you might think.

Closing the loop

The last mile of feedback, automated.

Shipping is where most feedback tools end. It is where UserJot's work is most useful. The blank page stays closed, and the right people hear first.

AI drafts the changelog from the feedback itself.

Move a Post to Completed and UserJot writes the announcement from the original request and the discussion around it. In your voice, ready to review. No one opens an empty doc on a Friday afternoon.

Voters hear first

Everyone who voted or commented gets an email the moment you publish. The list is built for you.

Scheduled updates

Queue announcements for when your users are awake. A weekly digest gently re-engages the quieter ones.

Product changelog software

Changelog software with AI that writes, schedules, and notifies for you.

AI changelog software that writes updates from your shipped features, schedules posts, and auto-notifies users who requested them. The in-app widget helps users discover every release the moment you publish.

  • AI writes complete changelogs

Tell the AI to write a changelog from closed feedback and it drafts the post, title, and tags in your voice.

  • Automatic user notifications

When you publish, users who voted on those features get an email automatically. No manual list management.

  • In-app widget

Users can read the latest changelog without leaving your product.

  • Update indicator

A small badge appears the moment a new changelog lands, so users never miss what shipped.

  • Link to feedback

Every update links back to the original feature requests and the customers who asked for them.

  • Schedule posts

Ask the AI to schedule for Monday at 2pm, or let it pick the right time for your audience.

“Our strategy is to stay close to our users and obsess over quality. UserJot makes that easy: one place to listen, build what users want, and keep the feedback loop short.”

Filip MinevCofounder, Tally

“UserJot has noticeably improved our product process. Instead of piecing together feedback from support, email, and social, we have one hub to collect feedback, gauge interest, and keep users updated on improvements. It's helped us move faster and focus on things customers actually want.”

Corey RabazinskiVP of Marketing, Scite

“We set up UserJot and our users actually started leaving feedback. Clean, simple, and we finally know what to build next.”

Carl LindesvärdFounder, OpenPanel

“Ever since we added UserJot, the most common thing users mention in reviews is that we actually listen. It's helped us build a loyal community of users who feel like they're shaping the app with us.”

Igor AmidzicFounder, Kualia

“We'd been looking for a feedback board for some time. Every app we found was either bloated or expensive. Userjot hits the sweet spot! The UI is next-level, and the pace of improvement has been amazing!”

Questions

The ones that come up before teams switch.

What happened to Olvy, how UserJot differs, how the migration works if you saved an export, and why UserJot is built to still be here next year. Answered plainly.

  • Two things. First, UserJot's boards are public. Olvy was internal only, which meant the people giving feedback never saw it organized, never voted, and never tracked what happened to it. Second, UserJot's pricing is flat by feature set. Olvy charged per admin seat. Both are real differences and they shape how the product feels to operate.

  • Yes. UserJot is an indie product, launched at the beginning of 2025, profitable, and run by a small founding team. There is no board, no exit timeline, no investor pressure to scale into a category we did not start in. The simplest promise we can make is that we will still be here next year.

  • Yes. Duplicate detection as users type, auto-categorization, sentiment reading on submissions, and AI-drafted changelog announcements. All included from Starter and above. The AI sits where it is useful and stays quiet where it is not.

  • It was. UserJot is built to the same standard, and drawn by a single hand across the portal, widget, dashboard, emails, and mobile. Every surface is finished end to end. If you liked operating inside Olvy, you will not miss it here.

  • If you saved an export before Olvy shut down in February 2025, yes. Send us the file and we will run the import with you: boards, posts, votes, comments, and users. If you did not save an export, your Olvy data is no longer recoverable. Most teams who find us now just start fresh, which takes about thirty seconds.

  • They announced it in January 2025 and closed on February 15. The public reasoning was that they had not reached product-market fit at the scale their fundraising required. They were not a bad product. They were a product without a business under it, which is the most common way good tools vanish in this category.

  • Olvy charged by admin seats: $0 for two, $60 per month for ten, $240 per month for thirty, and $25 per admin beyond that. UserJot is flat by feature set: Free for unlimited users and admins on small teams, $29 for Starter, $59 for Professional with unlimited admins. No per-seat pricing anywhere, on any plan.

  • Yes, and the public board is the default, not an upgrade. Your users visit it, vote on what matters, comment with context, and can post without creating an account if you enable guest posting. The board closes the feedback loop on the user side, which is the side that actually matters.

  • We cannot promise what the next ten years look like. What we can tell you is the shape of the company. UserJot is profitable, indie, and run by a founder paid by the business rather than by an exit. There is no runway clock, no investor timeline, no pressure to scale into adjacent markets. That is the structural answer to the question.

  • Thirty seconds from signup to a live board. Pick a workspace name, share the link, done. No configuration sits between you and the first piece of feedback.

  • Slack, Linear, Discord, webhooks, a REST API, and an MCP server for AI agents. The MCP server is uncommon in the category. Claude, Cursor, or any other agent can triage feedback, update the roadmap, and draft changelogs on your behalf. One integration is included on Starter. Professional includes all of them.

  • Professional ($59 per month) includes SAML SSO. Automatic Login (a JWT-based SSO-lite flow) is available on Starter and Professional for in-app identification. Olvy placed SSO on the Business plan at $240 per month.
