Turn on Conversations

Conversations adds live chat to your widget and a shared inbox to your dashboard, so support threads live next to the feedback, roadmap, and changelog you already run. It also includes Juno, an AI operator that can handle first replies, and email forwarding so your support address lands in the same inbox.

Conversations is currently in beta. It is free while in beta, and it will join the paid plans once it graduates. Beta workspaces get notice before anything changes.

Before you turn it on

Two things are worth knowing up front:

  • Conversations requires v3 of the UserJot widget. If you are still on the older widget, upgrade your embed first.
  • Chat appears in your widget the moment you enable it, so make sure someone is ready to keep an eye on the inbox.

Enable Conversations

  1. Open Settings in your workspace, then go to

Conversations. Only workspace owners and admins can see this section.

  2. On the General page, find Turn on Conversations and select Turn on.

That is the whole setup. Chat is live in your widget immediately, and a Conversations section appears in your dashboard sidebar with Queue, Open, and All views.

What appears after you enable it

The Conversations settings group expands to include:

  • Operators for team availability and hours
  • Email for forwarding addresses
  • Widget for the greeting, visitor details, and reply-time expectations
  • Juno AI for the AI operator and its knowledge
  • Moderation for blocked senders and IP rules

Who can use it

Owners and admins configure Conversations and work the inbox. Regular members who only participate on your public board do not get inbox access. There is no per-seat pricing, so your whole team can join.

Turning it off

The same page has the switch. Turning Conversations off removes chat from your widget right away, but your conversation history stays. Turning it back on picks up where you left off.
