Conversation notifications
Conversations alert your team through browser push and email. They do not appear in the in-app Activity feed, which stays dedicated to feedback events; the Queue and Open counts in the Conversations sidebar section are your in-dashboard signal instead.
Set up browser push
Push is per browser, so each teammate enables it on each device they use:
-
Open the Activity bell in the dashboard sidebar, then select the gear to open Notifications.
-
Under This device, turn on
Browser notifications and allow notifications when the browser asks.
-
Use Send test notification to confirm it works.
If the browser permission was denied at some point, the panel will tell you to allow notifications in browser settings first.
Choose what alerts you
The same panel has two conversation types, each available for push and email:
- New conversations, when a customer starts a conversation that needs your team.
- Customer replies, when a customer replies to a conversation that needs your team.
Both are on by default. Alerts go to workspace owners and admins.
Notifications are quiet by design
A few behaviors keep alerts from piling up:
- While Juno is handling a conversation, nobody is notified. The first alert is Juno's handoff: the push notification is titled "AI handed off a conversation," and the email looks like a regular customer-reply notification.
- Push is skipped if you are already looking at the conversation or have already read the messages.
- Email waits a couple of minutes before sending, so if a teammate opens the thread first, the email never goes out.
Reply straight from email
Team notification emails support reply-by-email: answer the email and your response is sent to the customer as you, without opening the dashboard. Each email also links to the conversation and to your notification settings.
