Member roles

UserJot uses a small set of roles to control who can manage the workspace and who can simply participate in feedback.

Understand the roles

  • Owner has the highest level of access. Owners can manage billing and plan changes, and they are the only people who can remove another privileged team member. An owner cannot be removed from the workspace through team settings.
  • Admin can help run the workspace day to day. Admins can manage feedback, boards, tags, changelog work, integrations, and team settings. They can also see the billing page and open the billing portal for invoices and payment methods, but plan changes are out of their hands.
  • Member is a regular user role for people who participate in the product experience. Members can submit feedback, vote, comment, and follow requests, but they do not get admin access to workspace settings.

Manage your internal team

  1. Open Settings in your workspace.
  2. Go to Team.
  3. Review the current privileged team members listed there.
  4. Invite another teammate if you want them to help manage the workspace.

What team settings are for

Team settings are focused on your internal team.

That means this area is mainly where you manage owners and admins, update their titles, and review outstanding invitations. It is not the main place where regular product users are managed.

A few practical rules

  • New team invites are created as admin invites.
  • Admins and owners can view the team area and invite more admins.
  • Only owners can remove another privileged member.
  • Plan changes, trials, and cancellation stay owner-only. Admins can still view billing and update payment details through the billing portal.
