Plan Your Roadmap

UserJot’s roadmap feature automatically updates based on the status of your feedback items. This guide will help you understand how to use statuses effectively to plan your roadmap.

Understanding Statuses

UserJot uses the following statuses for feedback items:

  • Pending: New feedback awaiting review
  • Review: Feedback under consideration
  • Planned: Approved for implementation
  • Progress: Currently being worked on
  • Completed: Fully implemented and released
  • Closed: Not planned for implementation

How Statuses Affect Your Roadmap

  1. Planned Items: When you change a feedback item’s status to “Planned”, it automatically appears in your roadmap under the “Planned” section.

  2. In-Progress Items: Changing an item’s status to “Progress” moves it to the “In Progress” section of your roadmap.

  3. Completed Items: Items marked as “Completed” are typically removed from the active roadmap but can be viewed in a separate “Completed” view.

Tips for Effective Roadmap Planning

  1. Regularly review “Pending” and “Review” items to keep your roadmap up-to-date.
  2. Use the “Planned” status to communicate future intentions to your users.
  3. Keep “Progress” items updated to show active development.
  4. Don’t forget to mark items as “Completed” to celebrate achievements.
  5. Use “Closed” for items you’ve decided not to pursue, providing transparency.

Using these statuses helps your roadmap show what you’re working on and what’s coming next. This keeps your users in the loop and interested in your progress.
