Import Data from Canny to UserJot
Importing data from Canny to UserJot is a simple process that only takes a few minutes to complete. We provide a tight integration that makes it extremely easy to import all of your data with a few clicks.
Step 1: Access the Import Feature
- Log in to your UserJot dashboard.
- Navigate to the Settings page from the sidebar.
- Select the Data tab.
- Click on Import from Canny to begin the import process.
Step 2: Provide Your Canny API Key
- You’ll be prompted to enter your Canny API key. An API key is a unique code that allows UserJot to securely access your Canny data.
- To find your API key, go to your Canny account settings and look under API Keys. For more details, refer to Canny’s API Key Documentation.
- Copy the API key from Canny and paste it into the designated field in UserJot.
Step 3: Confirm Feedback Board Mappings
- After entering your API key, UserJot will fetch your Canny data and use AI to automatically map it to the appropriate feedback boards in UserJot.
- Review the suggested mappings to ensure each Canny feedback board is correctly associated with the corresponding board in UserJot.
- Adjust any mappings if necessary to match your preferences or workflow.
Step 4: Confirm Feedback Status Mappings
- Similarly, UserJot’s AI will suggest mappings for feedback statuses (e.g., “Under Review,” “Planned”) from Canny to UserJot.
- Review these mappings to ensure each Canny status aligns with the equivalent status in UserJot.
- Make adjustments as needed to fit your team’s process.
Step 5: Start the Import
- Once you’ve confirmed the mappings for both boards and statuses, click the Start Import button.
- UserJot will begin importing your data, including:
- User feedback
- Statuses
- Comments
- Reactions
- The import process may take some time depending on the amount of data. Please be patient.
After the Import
- When the import is complete, all your Canny data will be fully integrated into UserJot.
- You can then manage and interact with this data just like any other feedback in UserJot.
Troubleshooting
- If you encounter issues, such as an invalid API key or mapping errors, UserJot will display an error message with details on how to resolve the problem.
- Double-check that your API key is correct and that all boards and statuses are properly mapped.
If you have any questions or need assistance during the import process, feel free to contact our support team at shayan@userjot.com.
